GUILFORD, Conn. — Certus has hired Desiree Straubinger as vice president of technical.
Straubinger began her career with Steritech in 2002 after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in entomology. She started as a service supervisor and worked within the company’s brand standards division. Her true passion within the industry was revealed when she joined the Steritech technical team. After Steritech’s acquisition by Rentokil in 2015, Straubinger became the market technical director for the southeast and Canadian markets, where she led a team of technical managers to drive quality through training and knowledge.
Straubinger serves on numerous boards and committees, including the Pi Chi Omega Board of Directors, Pi Chi Omega Scholarship Chair, FPMA Education Committee and NPMA Commercial Committee. She is a board-certified entomologist and a certified professional – food safety.
